Carolina Coffee Shop

Carolina Coffee Shop

The project

I designed and developed Carolina Coffee Shop’s website to connect its long Chapel Hill history with the practical details of a visit. The Franklin Street storefront, restaurant photography, menus, and local story give guests a sense of the place before they arrive.

My approach

My approach

The design needed to respect a familiar local institution while helping people decide what to do next. I used the storefront and heritage imagery to establish the setting, then created clear routes to the menu, the restaurant’s story, and event information.

I separated the history and menu content into their own pages. On the homepage, image-led sections introduce the food, coffee, and occasions the restaurant serves, with visitor information kept within reach.

Carolina Coffee Shop homepage cards showing the restaurant windows and a cup of coffee, with event and review links.

The finished experience

The finished experience

The finished website balances a sense of place with everyday usefulness. Its gallery moves from the storefront and restaurant introduction to food, coffee, menu choices, history, and practical visitor details.

My role covered the design and development of a website that lets the restaurant’s character lead while giving guests clear ways to explore it.
